Privacy Policy

Your data, your control.

How we collect, use, and protect the information you share with Recovera and the AI assistant.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Commitment to privacy

At Recovera, protecting your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information is central to our business. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect the data of individuals and institutions who engage with the Recovera AI assistant and our team.

Recovera operates under strict confidentiality and international data protection standards. We handle all client information in accordance with applicable privacy and financial compliance laws across the regions in which we operate, including Switzerland (FADP), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), the European Union (GDPR), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE Data Protection Law).

We apply the same level of care and diligence to your personal data as we do to all investigative and financial operations entrusted to us.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services and meet our regulatory obligations. This may include:

  • Identification details such as name, email, phone number, and country of residence
  • Identity verification documents required for KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance
  • Transactional or wallet information relevant to your case
  • Correspondence and case-related documentation shared during engagement
  • Technical information such as browser type, IP address, and access times for site functionality and security

We do not collect personal data unrelated to our services, nor do we sell or rent information to third parties.

3. Purpose of data use

Your information is used solely for legitimate operational, legal, and compliance purposes, including:

  • Conducting identity verification and case assessments
  • Managing communications and providing case progress updates
  • Coordinating with banks, exchanges, regulators, and qualified legal counsel where appropriate
  • Meeting obligations under anti-money-laundering and fraud prevention frameworks
  • Improving service quality and maintaining operational integrity

All data is processed in accordance with the principles of fairness, transparency, and lawful purpose.

4. Data protection and security

Recovera implements technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest
  • Restricted internal access on a strict need-to-know basis
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and third-party providers
  • Audit logs for access to sensitive case data

Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is fully secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat any incident with the highest priority.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with marketers. We do not use your conversations to train external AI models.

We may share specific information with third parties only when:

  • Required by law, court order, or competent regulatory authority
  • Necessary to coordinate with banks, exchanges, or law enforcement on your behalf, with your prior consent
  • Engaging qualified service providers (e.g. secure hosting, KYC verification) bound by confidentiality agreements

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, plus any period required by applicable law (typically up to 5–7 years for financial-services records).

You may request deletion of personal data that we are not legally required to retain — see "Your rights" below.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@recovera.live. We respond within 30 days.

8. AI conversations

The Recovera AI assistant runs on our own infrastructure. Conversations are processed for the purpose of providing case analysis and guidance.

What this means in practice:

  • Your conversations are not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third-party AI provider for model training
  • Your conversations are not used to train the Recovera assistant itself for other users
  • Conversations are stored for case continuity (so you can return to a previous session) and audit purposes
  • You can request deletion of your conversation history at any time

9. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies, primarily for technical functionality (session management, theme preference, security). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural tracking.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling them may affect some site functionality.
